<p>Myrian M. Myer, age 68, of Berlin, Maryland passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Asuncion, Paraguay and was the daughter of the late Manuel Moreno and Gladys (Martinez) Moreno.</p><p><br></p><p>Myrian immigrated with her family from Asuncion Paraguay in 1960 to Silver Spring, MD. As a Computer Sciences graduate of the University of Maryland her IT career spanned numerous technical and management positions including IT Director of Federal FEMA contracts. Myrian moved into the Federal Civil Service performing numerous management roles culminating in the Senior Executive Service for the Department of Labor. What mattered most in life was Myrian’s love for family both immediate and extended, friends as well as the Paraguayan community of families she grew up with and were like family. Myrian was a voracious reader of science fiction, which led to her love of computers and an IT career where she met her husband Dan. Myrian loved the beach where many wonderful vacations were spent with family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her husband Daniel E. Myer; three children, Kevyn A. Myer of Berlin, MD, Deanna Curbeam and husband Emerson of Berlin, MD and David B Myer of North Bethesda, MD; her brothers and sister, Juan C. Moreno (Susan) of Pleasanton, CA, Maria T. Suls (Robert) of Sparks, MD and Daniel A. Moreno (Charity) of Clarksburg, MD.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday July 11, 2024 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home 19 S. Main Street in Selbyville, DE. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD on Friday July 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org).</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
