<p>WAREHAM - Rose A. (Tenaglia) Sauvageau, of Wareham passed away unexpectedly on Friday July 5th after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family at the Mass General Hospital Boston. She was the beloved wife of the late Bruce D. Sauvageau.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Rose was the cherished daughter of Ciro Tenaglia and the late Antonietta (Zizza) Tenaglia of Melrose and Wareham. She was born in Somerville and graduated from Saugus High Class of 1977. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Boston followed by two master's degrees from UMASS and Bridgewater State. Rose worked as an instructor certification coordinator for the Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC). She was instrumental in developing the certification program. Rose was also a member of the Bridgewater State University Alumni Association.</p><p><br></p><p>She previously lived in South Boston before moving to Wareham in 1999.</p><p><br></p><p>Rose had a passion for cooking, she could always be seen carrying a delicious dish across the street to the family home. Rose and her late husband owned the former Oceanside Restaurant on Swifts Beach also owned by her family years prior. She was famous for her pizza. Rose was quite the traveler. Whether it was with her husband, family or her favorite trips with her lifelong girlfriends she enjoyed it all! She spent several winters in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. Rosie loved everyone and to know her was to love her. We will forever miss our beautiful Rosie.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her father Ciro Tenaglia; her brother, Ralph Tenaglia and wife Joanne of North Reading; her sisters, Anna Sorgi and husband Louis Sorgi of Hull, and Claire Tenaglia and Christine Tenaglia both of Melrose. Also surviving are her nephew and nieces, Ralph C. Tenaglia, Andrea Spano, Louis Sorgi, Danielle Grieci, and several great nephews and nieces.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 10th at Chapman Funerals &amp; Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosie's memory may be made to&nbsp;Societa Santa Maria Di Anzano, Inc.,&nbsp;11 George St, Somerville, MA 02145.</p>
