<p>Jimmy Gratzer, 60, of Bedford, passed away at 11:55pm, July 1, 2024, at his residence, after an eight-and-a-half-year battle with stage 4 cancer. Born March 27, 1964, in Bedford, he was the son of William “Bill” Gratzer and Freida Faye (Fox) Gratzer. Jimmy married Melody Gould on December 4, 1992, and she survives.</p><p><br></p><p>Jimmy worked at Visteon for 20 years. He was Athletic Director at the Thornton Memorial Boys Club and later was medically retired from PRD. Jimmy graduated from Bedford-North Lawrence High School with the class of 1982. He loved music and spending time with his family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving to cherish the memory of Jimmy is his wife Melody; two sons, Korey (Mykel) Flick, and Jase (Erin) Gratzer; Seven grandchildren, Clayton, Madelynn, Briar, Gunnar, Avynn, Maecy, and Emmett; one brother, Billy (Kiva) Gratzer; one sister, Paula Gratzer; brother and sister in law, Travis and Marry Anne Gould; mother in law, Carolyn Gould; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nephews and nieces.</p><p><br></p><p>Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Cathy and her husband Terry Clark, Carolyn Lindley, and Patricia in infancy; brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Carolyn Gould.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Services for Jimmy will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, with Pastor Jason Filler officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday, July 5, 2024, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.</p><p><br></p><p>Contributions in memory of Jimmy may be made to the IU Health Bedford Cancer Infusion Center.</p><p><br></p><p>Memories and condolences may be shared and flowers ordered at www.FergusonLee.com.</p><p><br></p>March 27, 1964 - July 1, 202403/27/196407/01/2024
