Cora "Susie" Alexander
<p>Cora “Susie” Alexander, 78 years old, left her earthly broken body on Saturday June 22, and is now rejoicing and dancing in heaven with her beloved parents. To know Susie was to love Susie. She lived alone with her much loved cat Lady. Susie’s favorite hobbies were doing genealogy and watching Blue Blood. She also loved Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. </p><p> She enjoyed making Christmas cookies each year with her friend and caregiver Jean.<br> Susie enjoyed talking about her youth and all the antics she had as the mayor’s daughter. Susie’s life wasn’t an easy one as she was born with a “birth disorder” but she never let that stop her from doing all the things she loved. As she got older, she required more care to do everyday tasks. </p><p> Susie was blessed to have wonderful caregivers through Viaquest who loved her like family.<br> She also received services from the Ross County board of Developmental Disabilities and she brought much joy to her SSA Jane Farrar’s life. Their time together was always a highlight of their day. </p><p>She was a long-time member of the Eastern Star organization.<br> Cora was proceeded in death by her parents, Clark and Geneva Cline Alexander and an infant sister Flaun all of Chillicothe. </p><p>Cora is survived by a very special friend, Robert “Army” Armstrong, her extended family members from all over and many caregivers, all of whom will miss her deeply. </p><p>A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Friday, June 28, 2024 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. John Hocker, officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday. </p><p>The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral home are honored to serve the family. </p>August 26, 1945 - June 22, 202408/26/194506/22/2024
