Timothy James "Tim" Martin
<p>Timothy James “Tim” Martin, 68, of Scipio, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus. </p><p>Born December 12, 1955, in Gary, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Wenski) Martin. He married Linda Sharp on October 19, 1979, in Greenwood; she survives. </p><p>Tim was a 1973 graduate of Andrean High School in Merrillville and worked as a counselor for Cornerstone in Indianapolis. He was a member of Community Christian Church in Columbus. Tim enjoyed attending church and church activities, gardening, cutting wood, fishing, hunting, going camping and just being outdoors. </p><p>Surviving with his wife, Linda; are his sons, Jonathan Martin of Clarksville, Jason (Gina) Martin of Columbus and Jesse Martin of Scipio; brothers, Bobby (Andrea) Martin, Jimmy (Renee) Martin, Tom Martin, and Steve Martin; sisters, Debbie (James) Cooper and Beth (Will) Robbins; grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Joel Martin and Grace Martin, all of Columbus. </p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents. </p><p>A funeral service for Tim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Sam Kuehn officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A burial will follow in the Reddington Cemetery in Reddington. </p><p>Memorials may be made in honor of Tim through the funeral home for expenses. </p>December 12, 1955 - June 21, 202412/12/195506/21/2024
