Kevin Todd Long

Kevin Todd Long, 58, of Norman, Oklahoma was born November 15, 1965, at Stillwater, Oklahoma to Larry Earl and Linda Gayle (Emmons) Long.  He went to walk the golden streets of Heaven on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Bloomfield, Kentucky.      Kevin graduated from Elk City High School, Elk City, Oklahoma with the class of 1984. He attended El Reno Jr. College, El Reno, Oklahoma, where he served on the Livestock Judging Team. He also attended Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Cameron University, Lawton, Oklahoma where he graduated in 1989 with a degree in Bachelors of Science of Agriculture/Horticulture.    Kevin married his best friend and soul mate, Jennifer Kaye Ames on March 22, 1999, at Van Buren, Arkansas.    Kevin was the Regional Territory Manager for Berger where he was awarded several top salesmen awards and was employed for twenty-three years. He enjoyed many activities and hobbies including hunting, camping, riding his motorcycle, traveling, riding bulls, doing leather works and crafts. Kevin enjoyed working and solving problems, building things and could fix almost anything. He was an avid Oklahoma State Cowboys fan and enjoyed going to Cabela's and spending time with his friends and family.      He showed livestock in FFA, locally, state and nationally and won numerous Champions and Grand Champion Awards. He won the Southwest District Agribusiness Award in FFA, achieved his State FFA Degree, and was an FFA Officer at the local level. He also was a member of the Oklahoma Ag Leadership Program where they traveled to China. He liked pulling pranks on his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He started his horticultural path at the Plaza Garden Center under the guidance of Guy Hylton who became a great mentor for Kevin.       Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Elk City United Methodist Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Scott Rodgers will officiate and Reverend Dr. Ken Baden will assist.  Interment will be at Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma.      Kevin is survived by his wife, Jennifer Kaye Long of Norman, Oklahoma; two sons, Ty Long and Trey Long both of Norman, Oklahoma; his parents, Larry Earl and Linda Gayle Long of Elk City, Oklahoma; one brother, Kade Long and wife, Terry of Pleasanton, Texas; one aunt, Geraldine Baden of Altus, Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.      He is preceded in death by one infant brother, Larry Shane Long and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Memorials can be made to the Kevin Todd Long Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O.
