<p>Mary Margaret “Maggie” Teter, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 2, 1958 in Burlington, Vermont, to the late Jackson Lee, Sr. and Mary Mae (Sisk) DeWitt and adopted and raised by the late Marshall E. and Margaret Alice DeWitt. She was the loving wife of 46 years to David Wayne Teter. Maggie was preceded in death by her brother, Jackson Lee DeWitt, Jr. </p><p>Maggie made her living as a medical coder for many medical firms over the years. She loved serving her community as an EMT for the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad, she found purpose in caring for and helping others. Maggie loved spending time on the water and boating with extended family in her younger years. She loved to cook, bake, can, and sew, but her passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Maggie was a member of the Fairview Church. </p><p>Maggie is survived by her husband, David W. Teter; children, Andrew Teter and his wife, Melissa, Michelle Ross and her husband, Andrew, and Kimberly Wolf and her husband, Nick; grandchildren, Olivia, Samuel, Elizabeth, Sierra, Abigail, Natalie, Isabella, Brooklyn, Tripp, and Raegan; and brother, Robert DeWitt and his wife, Melissa; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>Friends will be received on Sunday, January 21st from 2:00 pm– 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD 21550. On Monday, January 22nd a viewing will be held at Faith Church, 1009 Maryland Highway, Oakland, MD 21550, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. </p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maggie’s name to Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., P.O.
