<p>McVETY: Frances Wilma (Oliver)</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away peacefully at the Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday October 4, 2023, Frances McVety of Long Point in her 86th year. </p><p><br></p><p>Dear mother of Catherine &amp; Roger Banghart of Ayr, Cynthia Pickersgill of Rosedale Alberta, Frederick &amp; Anne McVety of St. Thomas, Connie &amp; Gabriel Clerici, of Mississauga, Susan &amp; Gary Corbett of Woodstock and Bill McVety of Toronto. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Survived by her sisters Karen Boyer of Ottawa and Eva Woodhouse of Trenton. She will be sadly missed by many family members and friends, and by her precious companion, Millie.</p><p><br></p><p>Predeceased by her brothers, Ken and Ray and by sisters Doris &amp; Muriel. </p><p><br></p><p>Frances loved to fish (perch), gardening was a passion and she was an awesome cook. She was famous for her pickles which were given to many, and she lived to entertain family and friends. </p><p><br></p><p>Private family funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Jeffrey W. Glendinning Funeral Home, 36 Front Street, Port Rowan. A Celebration of Frances Life will take place at a later date. </p><p><br></p><p>Donations in her memory can be made to the Simcoe &amp; District Humane Society and would be appreciated by the family.
