<p>Matthew Tyler King, 23, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born May 22, 2000 in Concord, NC to Richard Neil King and Kathy Williamson King. Matthew was a hard worker and loved working with heavy machinery. He was a caring person, always wanting to help others and loved his family deeply. He was the person where if you were to walk in his smile would light up the room. He was very smart, strong , kind and gentle, and his laughter was contagious.</p><p><br></p><p>Matthew is survived by his mother, Kathy and longtime partner Bobby of Rockwell North Carolina; father, Richard and longtime partner Carie Lyn of Grants Pass, Oregon; brother Chandler King of Rockwell NC; sister Kailey Campbell “Best sister ever “ and many more loved ones.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held at a later date.</p><p><br></p><p>Powles Staton Funeral Home of Rockwell is assisting the King family.
