<p><p><i>Mariano Nicolosi passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 15, 2017 at 101 years old. He was welcomed into Heaven by his beloved wife Kathryn (nee Merendino). Mariano was the loving father of Rosalie R. (Richard) Smith, Rita (Timothy) Kearney, and Kathleen Jones. He was the cherished grandfather of 10 and the great grandfather of 12. Mariano was a proud&nbsp;Veteran of the United States Army, serving active duty during World War II.</i></p></p><p><br></p><p><p><i>In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mariano's honor&nbsp;to the Wounded Warrior Project (<b><a href="https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/default.aspx?tsid=7792" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Link for Online Donation Page</a></b>) or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (<b><a href="https://shop.stjude.org/GiftCatalog/donation.do?cID=14262&amp;pID=24671&amp;sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Link for Online Donation Pag</a>e</b>).</i></p></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><p>The visitation for Mariano will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Thursday August 17, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM and 7:00 – 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Edmund Roman Catholic Church on Friday August 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM- the family will be meeting at the funeral home by 9:00 AM. The Committal Service will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at St. John Cemetery.</p></p><p><br></p><p><p>If you are unable to attend the funeral services, please take advantage of the "Condolences" tab to your left.
