<p>Sean T. Utsler, 55, of Waterloo, IA, died on Friday, December 23, 2022, in Independence, IA.</p><p><br></p><p>Sean was born on November 4, 1967, in Waterloo, IA the son of Robert “Terry” and Sharon A. (Sizemore) Utsler. The Utsler family spent many years traveling throughout the United States while Sean was growing up. They finally resettled in Waterloo where Sean attended the Waterloo community schools and went on to graduate from the Job Corps in the early 1980s, where he learned various skills for the future. He applied his skills for many years working for ABM Facility Services in Waterloo. In 1993, he married Luanne C Fankhauser in Waterloo, IA, and together they had two children: Sarah, and Richard. He later had two children Julia, and April in another relationship. </p><p><br></p><p>Music was Sean’s life passion. He loved playing hairband music in his bands throughout the years, the Claw marks, Emanon, and Jester. They traveled throughout Iowa shaking the walls and windows of many bars and getting the masses to dance and sing along with them. </p><p><br></p><p>Sean is survived by his father and stepmother, Terry and Joyce Utsler, Waterloo, IA, his children: Sarah (Zach) Fowler, Independence, IA, Richard (Dana) Hacker, Waterloo, IA, Gary Stocks, Waterloo, IA, Julia Utsler, Waterloo, IA, and April Utsler, Waterloo, IA, three grandchildren, Eli Berger, Jordyn Hacker, Preston Berger, a brother, Shane (Stacey) Utsler, Hudson, IA, and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his mother Sharon Robbins, stepfather, Duane Gallmeyer, and brother, Shad Utsler.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held at the Evansdale Amvet Post 31, 706 Colleen Ave, Evansdale, IA, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15th, 2023.
