Mary Frances Sypek
<p><p>Mary Frances (Frodyma) Sypek, age 92, of West Springfield, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born in West Springfield, daughter of the late Mitchell D. and Frances R. (Golosh) Frodyma and was educated in the local schools. Mary worked for the Department of Defense at Westover Air Force Base for many years. She and her late husband, Edward S. Sypek, also owned and operated Sypek Landscaping Company of West Springfield for more than 50 years, until his passing on April 4, 2017. Together, they enjoyed many years at Marco Island, Florida with family and friends. Besides her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Frodyma and a sister Joanne F. Corriveau. She is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mary’s dedicated caregiver for the past five years, Robin Pierce. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Greenfield.
