<p>Mr. Arthur Frederick Dixie Sr. passed on to his final resting place on October 27th, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family.</p><p><br></p><p> Mr. Dixie, son of the late James Dixie and Odessa Vaughn was born November 28th, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio. He attended the public schools of Mahoning County and was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Upon graduation, he worked briefly at Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He later attended Youngstown State University receiving certification in CAD/CAM design engineering. He worked for several years at CDI and NRM Corp. designing plastic extrusion machinery. In addition, for a brief time, he was a partner in Yahweh Productions along with Jerry Thompson and Mark Brown. Yahweh Productions brought some of the top gospel and Contemporary Christian acts to Youngstown and surrounding areas.</p><p><br></p><p> Arthur was a devout Christian and dedicated deacon. He attended True Vine Outreach Ministries for many years and later was an active member at Cornerstone Church. He was always a participant in music ministry and played bass for several choirs and prominent local music groups.</p><p><br></p><p> Thanks to cousin, Rhoda Lee’s expert matchmaking skills, Mr. Dixie was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life…his “chocolate bunny”…Mary Burney on July 10th, 1971. They enjoyed a beautiful friendship and loving marriage for 52 wonderful years.</p><p><br></p><p> Mr. Dixie was a shining light and example to all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. </p><p><br></p><p> He was preceded in death by his brother Alwayne (Debbie) Green Sr.</p><p><br></p><p> His beautiful life will forever be cherished by his wife Mary Dixie (Burney); four children, Arthur Dixie Jr., Davina Joy Millin (Dixie), Deserae Brady (Dixie), and Derek Dixie; seven siblings, Robert (Beverly) Dixie, Charles (Jacqueline) Dixie, Lawrence (Eileen) Dixie, Earl Dixie, Shirley Peace, and Barbara Jean Dykes. Four grandchildren, Cielle Brady, Anthony Brady III, Jaryn Millin, and Josiah Millin.</p>
