<p>Mr. Eugene Albert Brown, age 90, of North Wilkesboro, passed peacefully at Westwood Hills Nursing Center on the morning of October 22, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>Eugene worked at American Drew/Ladd furniture for 53 years before retiring. He was an avid gardener and musician, skilled at guitar and banjo. In addition, he was a gifted craftsman working with wood and metal in his workshop. He also enjoyed the company of his longtime canine companions, Buddy and Tony.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by wife, Annie Lou Call Brown, sons, Michael Brown and wife Janet, Kevin Brown and wife Christy; and their mother, Betty Miller Brown; stepsons, Terry Call and wife Julia, and Charles Call and wife Mildred. He is also survived by grandchildren, Zach Brown and wife Emily, Jenna Brown, and Meredith Brown.</p><p><br></p><p>Eugene was born July 1, 1932 in Wilkes County to John S. Brown, and Mae F. Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Whitley.</p><p><br></p><p>A private burial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Call and Rev. Jim Gore officiating, and with music provided by Billy Ray Faw. No flowers please.
