Robert Bruce Huber Jr.

Robert Bruce “Bobby” Huber Jr., age 55 of Naples, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Naples, New York.

Bobby was born on January 20, 1967 in Canandaigua to Robert & Martha (Branning) Huber Sr. Bobby attended Naples Central School. He honorably, and proudly, served our country in the United States Navy from 1988 until he received an Honorable Discharge in 1995. He loved his rate, Aviation Structural Mechanic, Third Class, and always spoke fondly of his air squadron, VAW-120, out of Norfolk, Virginia.

After leaving the Navy, he went to Jungle Golf in Virginia Beach, VA, as a Landscaper, one of his many passions. This is where the Universe aligned Heather and Bobby to begin their lives together. Jungle Golf is also the place where Bobby and Heather married, brought their son home and raised him, and began a life with their chosen family of countless amazing young people, and their future spouses and children.

When it was time for their son, Hendrik Huber, to begin school, they returned to Bobby’s home town in Naples. Bobby reconnected with his automotive family at Bob’s Alignment, where he happily painted vehicles for 15 years. After the closing of Bob’s Alignment Collision Department, Steve Schultz and his wife, Kim, found a place for Bobby as a dispatcher at Hoselton Toyota/Chevy, in East Rochester. As a bonus, they also found a place for Hendrik Huber, which created an automotive bond that made Bobby very happy.

Moving back to Naples was an opportunity to fulfill a life-long goal to stand in the same Lodge as his great grandfather (Edgar Huber), grandfather (Erwin “Bud” Huber), and life-long family friends, including Al Mann, who lived to 104 years old, witnessing Bobby be raised up to the Degree of Master Mason of John Hodge Lodge 815 of Naples, New York. He held this position from 2019 to 2020.

To list a few of Bobby’s favorites, he loved to be outside, mountain biking, skiing, motorcycle riding, all things automobile-related and gardening. Bobby was passionate about food and loved to both cook and eat. Bobby was also fascinated by the stars which was fostered by his uncle Paul Huber and Tad Trzeciak. He knew the best spots to see them late at night, even if it meant standing in the middle of a 55 mph road. He was a proud representative of the Buffalo Bills. Bobby will be remembered as a silly, kind, and loving man. Bobby would tell jokes and entertain people, especially his family and close friends, for hours, until he was the last man at the party.

In addition to his father, Robert “Bob” Huber, Sr., Bobby is predeceased by his aunt, Sharon Trzeciak and his cousin, Jason Trzeciak.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Heather and their son, Hendrik; his mother, Martha (Branning) Huber; his siblings: Darrin Huber, Ruth Huber & Sharla Bailey; his cousin, Joy (Joe) Callaghan; the Virginia Beach Jungle Golf chosen family; his parents-in-law: Bruce & Terri Dorsey and Drema & John Finn; and many nieces, nephews & friends.

There will be a gathering for friends, this Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 6pm - 8pm at the Redwood Restaurant, on Cohocton Street in Naples.

Friends & family may call from 2pm - 5pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Baird-Moore Funeral Home in Naples where full military honors will take place at 2pm. There will be a register book for guests to sign and an opportunity, for those who wish, to write down your favorite memory/memories of/with Bobby.
