Frances Charlene Flowers

Frances Charlene Flowers, 70 years of aged wisdom, of Pampa, Texas, peacefully took her last breath to take Jesus’ hand and follow Him into eternal glory in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, at her home while surrounded by her precious family. She was one of six children born to Wesley and Opal Beck on November 13, 1951, in Canadian, Texas.

As a result of unforeseen circumstances, Frances has lived in several places; however, her roots were ultimately planted in Pampa, and she had lived here off and on for most of her life. Not one to give in to life’s hardships, and determined to break the family curse of poverty, she received her GED then completed beauty school at the old Exposito School of Hairdressing.

Next to God, her children were her world, and she was ready to conquer any and all obstacles to give them a loving and nurturing home. She spent many hours sewing clothes for them, taught them how to cook and bake family recipes handed down from generation to generation. She also taught them to take pride in who they are, to fight for themselves and to lean on God. Frances was more than a conqueror, as she also encouraged her family to confront adversity head on. She taught them to break the mold and to spread their wings to new heights!

Frances enjoyed working in the yard, grooming her plants, crocheting, and making beautiful cross stitch pieces. Another of her favorite pastimes was playing online games such as Candy Crush and Bubble Burst with her trusty companion, Tucker, at her side. She is now singing her beloved gospel hymns in the angel’s choir! Her heart of gold and gentle, loving nature will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Frances’s arrival into heaven was eagerly awaited by her parents; three brothers, Emmitt Beck, Bill Beck, Carl Beck and grandson, Dillon Beck

Those left with grief-stricken hearts and memories to hold onto are her two sons, Wesley Beck II and wife Debra of Plainview, Truman Beck and wife Donna of Pampa; two daughters, Melissa Nunn of Pampa, Becky Stone of Sayre, OK; a brother, Dean Beck and wife Gayla of Stinnett; sister, Patricia Guffy and husband Larry of Watonga, OK; thirteen grandchildren, Kennedy Beck of Canyon, Nathaniel Beck of Plainview, Chelsey Beck of Pampa, Zanna Beck of Pampa, Kelli White and husband Brandon of Mustang, Gage Hayes of OKC, Charles Hernandez of Pampa, Israel Hernandez and wife Kharinah of Mansfield, Maggie Johnson and husband Jacob of Pampa, Raymond Nunn of Pampa, Emma Nunn of Pampa, John Ross Throckmorton and wife Kara of Sayre, Tammy Baumann of Sayre; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; her four legged companion, Tucker and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family as well as many friends.

Just as in life, she is still helping others through the generous gift of her body to further someone’s education in scientific research. Celebration of Life Memorial Services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at The Carpenter’s Church, 639 South Barnes Street, Pampa with Brother Jim Sinyard officiating. The family has entrusted the final arrangements of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend an invitation to join them in fellowship following Frances' celebration at St. Matthew's Reception Hall, 727 West Browning Avenue, Pampa from 2 to 4.
