Charles "Chuck" Edward Rizzo
Charles ”Chuck” Edward Rizzo, 74 of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family he so dearly loved on July 15th, 2022. Chuck was born on September 24th, 1947 to the late Charles Samuel and Betty Jane (Ladley) Rizzo, in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Dormont High School and received his bachelor's degree from Robert Morris University. Chuck retired as a Senior Director of Risk Management from E.W. Scripps after 30 successful years. Additionally, he was a member of the Risk Management Society and worked as an Adjunct Professor at Northern Kentucky University. Chuck was always a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was a special person with a heart of gold and loved nothing more than spending time with the love of his life, his wife Kathy, his three children and seven grandchildren. He was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh and joke telling that brought joy to his family and friends. In his spare time he enjoyed reading, golfing, bowling, painting, listening to music and especially family vacations at the beach. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Kathleen “Kathy” Rizzo; children Catherine, Stephen and Matthew and their spouses Michael, Leah, and Mary; grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Olivia, Grace, Kevin, Sam, and Caroline. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at E. C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 W. Main Street, Amelia, Ohio 45102. A Catholic mass will take place the following day at 10 AM, Friday, July 22, 2022, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 7820 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255.
