Brian M. Gildea Bridgewater, NJ Brian Gildea, 55, of Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Bronx, NY, grew up in Jackson, NJ before eventually settling in Bridgewater. He graduated from Monsignor Donovan High School, Class of 1984 where he was active on the wrestling team, then received his Associates Degree from DeVry University. Since August 2018, he worked for Omnicell (automated medication dispensing equipment) as a Technical Service Engineer covering territory in Central & Southern NJ. Brian had a great passion for acting and was a member of the SAG-AFTRA Actors Union & Actors’ Equity Assoc. He performed in theatrical productions at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ (one directed by Joel Grey), as well as other area theatres; television appearances including Blue Bloods, and Saturday Night Live; and numerous background and stand-in credits on several tv shows and movies including Boardwalk Empire, Creed and Wolf of Wall Street. Brian enjoyed watching and attending professional golf tournaments, as well as Formula 1 & Indy Car Series Racing. Some things Brian enjoyed the most was spending quality time with his family, going to the beach, go-karting and racing on his driving simulator. He was also a lover of all animals. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother Mary Patricia Gildea (nee Hanley) and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Surviving are his loving wife and companion of 20 years, Lisa Kyrioglou-Gildea, his father, Arthur T. Gildea of Forked River, NJ; one brother, Steven and husband Edward Bentlyewski of Rockaway, NJ; one sister, Cathleen and husband Robert of Forked River, NJ; his mother and father-in-law, Alice and William Kyrioglou of Warren Township, NJ; extended family members, Bill & Michael Kyrioglou and Joanne & Bruce Suhaka, four nieces, Olivia, Sophia, Samantha, and Kaitlyn, a nephew, Thomas and his canine companion Rex. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 12-3pm at the Branchburg Funeral Home 910 Rt. 202 South Branchburg, NJ 08876. A prayer service will begin at the funeral home at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory can be made to The American Cancer Society, an animal rescue organization or other charity of your choosing. Committal is private
