<p>It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Daughter of the late Côme and the late Éloïde (née Régimbald) Gatien. Beloved wife of the late Herby Larocque. Loving mother of Donald (Lucy), Normand, Denis (Francine), Moe (Monique), Diane (Doug Boyd), André and Gerry (Cyndi). Dear sister of Clary Gatien. Predeceased by her many siblings. Blessed with 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Anita was a proud volunteer for the Sudbury Regional Police department and held an executive chair with the Balmoral Apartments. She was well known for her talents in arts and crafts and admired for her baking. A lady of great class, distinction, pride and filled with a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humour. A special thank you to the staff at Finlandia Village and Pioneer Manor for their kind and compassionate care. A funeral service will be held at 1p.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME Chapel, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury followed by a celebration of life at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1553 Weller Street, Sudbury at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Foundation. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca</p><p><br></p>
