<p>SORIANO, Katherine A.</p><p>Age 69 of Elmira and Horseheads</p><p>passed away Sept. 9, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.</p><p>Katherine was born in Brooklyn, NY to Thomas and Josephine Santise.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Soriano in 2003 and son-in-law, Fred Kaffke in 2009.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived byher daughter, Lisa (John O’Connor) Soriano-Kaffke of Elmira, NY; son, Mark Soriano of Hawley, PA; </p><p>grandchildren, Brittnay, Matthew, Danielle, Vincent and Sabrina.</p><p><br></p><p>Sister, Rosemarie (Frank) Pagano of Staten Island, NY, many nieces and nephews; Several in laws, neighbors, friends and caregivers including and with a special thanks to Jenniffer Mullen with Southern Tier Hospice.</p><p><br></p><p>Katherine was the Co-founder and National Vice President of the Guardians of Hydrocephalus Research Foundation in Brooklyn, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends are invited to call at the Barber Funeral Home, 413 South Main Street, Horseheads on Tues. Sept. 13, 2011 from 2-4:00 and again from 6-7:00 pm. Her service will follow at the funeral home at 7:00 pm. </p><p>Burial service will take place in St. Mary Our Mother Cemetery.</p>September 9, 201109/09/2011
