Barbara Jayne Zook Reasor
Corydon, Indiana Barbara Jayne (Zook) Reasor, 83, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana. She was born on July 15, 1938, in Ft Wayne, Indiana to J. Ford and Edna Blanche Parmley Zook and grew up in Michigan City, Indiana. She became a Registered Nurse and learned Cardiac Monitoring when it was a new procedure in California. Upon moving to Corydon, she worked at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky for 25 years in ICU, CCU, and retired as a surgical nurse. After her retirement, she and her husband, Nelson, spent many years renovating campers and houseboats in which they enjoyed many travel adventures throughout the US. Barbara was a skilled seamstress and avid quilter and enjoyed spending time with her quilting circle friends in Okeechobee, Florida where they wintered for many years. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 41 years, Nelson Reasor. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, Daughters: Jennifer (Roger) Mader, Sharon (Michael) Rosenbarger both of Corydon, Indiana, and Amy (Jim) Nicholson of Summertown, Tennessee; Step-son: Robert C. Reasor; Step-Daughter: Vicki (Brad) Lamb of New Salisbury, Indiana; Brother: Phillip Zook of Bloomington, Indiana; Thirteen grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one expected in February. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 3, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40205-3284.July 15, 1938 - December 28, 202107/15/193812/28/2021
