<p>Dennis L. Halverson, 71, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at his residence.</p><p><br></p><p> Born in LaCrosse, on July 16, 1949, he was the son of Lyman and Grace (McCabe) Halverson. He attended the University of Whitewater and studied history.</p><p><br></p><p> Dennis worked at American Motors/Chrysler for over 30 years and retired in 2000. He enjoyed golfing – especially earning two holes-in-one, fishing, watching sports, listening to and attending multiple concerts of the Rolling Stones, and was an avid reader about the Civil War.</p><p><br></p><p> Surviving Dennis is his mother, Grace; two brothers, Richard (Pat), and Mark (Kathie) Halverson; two sisters, Karen (Bill) Vincent, and Mary (Don) Birkholz; a brother-in-law, Brian Portilia; 10 nieces and nephews, Kellee, Tim (Gina), Lisa (Chris), Rianna (Josh), Brian (Jen), Brock (Nadia), Billy (Kate), Brett, Jeremy, and Jillian; and is further survived by many great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p> He was preceded in death by his father, Lyman; a sister, Nancy Portilia; and a nephew, Erik.</p><p><br></p><p> Visitation will take place on Monday, June 21st, at Proko Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will take place privately at All Saints Mausoleum.
