<p>Wallace Muse (Buddy), 94, of Roanoke, VA. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorcie, and siblings, Ike, Lucille and Barbara. He was reunited in heaven with his wife of over fifty years, Evon. </p><p><br></p><p>Buddy’s early life began in Vinton Va. living and growing up on the family farm with his parents, brother and sisters. As a young boy he raised vegetables on the farm to sell at local markets. At 17 he enlisted in the Navy to serve his country during World War II. </p><p><br></p><p>He married the love of his life Evon and they raised 2 daughters and spent over 50 wonderful loving years together. </p><p>Wallace leaves behind daughters Sheri (Rick) Rock and Vicki Muse. Sister in-law Mildred Muse. Grandchildren Patrick (Morgan) Rock, Alison Schaefer, Hannah Schaefer, Aaron (Sophie) Rock, Logan Schaefer, Ethan Schaefer, Eli Schaefer, and great grandson Lucas Rock. Also loving nieces, nephews, and friends who continued to support and visit with Buddy in his later years. </p><p><br></p><p>A special thanks to the caregivers and his family at Brookdale and to the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for all their care and kindness. </p><p>There will be a private burial service for Buddy. </p><p><br></p><p>Donations, in Wallace’s memory, can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. </p><p><br></p><p>Buddy had many a colorful story about growing up in the Roanoke Valley and his experiences in the Navy.
