Donald L. Sachs
Donald Lee Sachs, age 72, of Council Bluffs, passed away April 15, 2021. Don was born March 6, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late George and Violet (Junge) Sachs. He graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1967. Don retired in 2006 from the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member and elder at New Horizon Presbyterian Church. Don was an avid hunter and loved traveling and the outdoors. He enjoyed substitute teaching for students of Lewis Central and Council Bluffs schools. Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mikki Sachs; daughter, Erin Cohrs (Scott); son, Jason Sachs (Kari); grandchildren, Hunter Sachs, Ian Cohrs, Jett Cohrs, Karson Sachs, Jasi Sachs; brothers, George Sachs, Ed Sachs; sister, Jean Sachs; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Memorial service, Friday, 10:30 a.m. at New Horizon Presbyterian Church. Private interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery with a lunch following at the church. Memorials are suggested to New Horizon Presbyterian Church, The Kim Foundation or National Wildlife Federation.March 6, 1949 - April 15, 202103/06/194904/15/2021
