George G Russo, 71, of Long Beach Island, NJ formerly of Gillette, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home with his loving family at his side. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, March 3rd from 4-7 PM at Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, March 4th at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, Stirling. Interment will follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery. Face masks and social distancing are required inside the funeral home and the church.) George was born on March 20, 1949 in Jersey City, NJ. He was the son of Lucille (nee Napoliello) and George Russo. George raised his family in Gillette and moved to Long Beach Island 5 years ago. He was the Owner and Operator of CSD, Computer Software Development until 1996. At the age of 56 he retired and enjoyed sailing, traveling, and playing Pickleball. He was an active member of the Spray Beach Yacht Club in Long Beach Island and was an avid golfer and cyclist. George enjoyed giving back to others through Philanthropy and volunteering his time at Southern Ocean Medical Center. But, most of all George was devoted to his cherished family. George is survived by his beloved wife, Judy (nee Rosell), their loving children, Marc Russo, Nicholas Russo and his wife Gina and Elizabeth Yirce and her husband Billy. He was the dear brother of Annette Orlando and her husband John and Angel Smircich and her husband Michael. Cherished grandfather of Dylan, Gabriella, Emily, Nicholas, and Lillian. Dear brother-in-law of Jeffrey Rosell and his wife Helen. George is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
