Elizabeth “Betty” Concannon (nee Bucksat), Thursday February 18. Beloved wife of Robert Concannon Jr., loving mother of Maribeth Concannon; devoted sister of the late Bob Bucksat (Pat), Kay Deering (Dan) and Bert Bucksat; loving sister-in-law of the late Mike Concannon (Jane), Peg Niemann (Joe), Mimi Butler (Tim); aunt, great-aunt, cousin, godmother & friend to many. Betty spoke often of her early days in her career working for Purina where she was not only secretary, but also a member of their show cast which entertained guests at the Purina Research Farm. Her favorite role was as the star of Annie Get Your Gun. Her favorite job was the starring role as Mother in the production of Maribeth. She cheerfully carted Maribeth and her friends to any occasion – even driving a limo through the carpool pickup to kick off Maribeth’s birthday weekend one year. Betty spent decades creating art and had a special interest in encouraging others to do the same. She has exhibited all over the world and won too many awards to mention. She was a long-time and very active member at the St. Louis Artist’s Guild and Missouri Watercolor Society, among others. We will miss her warm smile, her companionship and her abiding love for her family and friends.
