<p>Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Swauger, 67, of Grantsville, MD, died Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.</p><p><br></p><p>Born May 12, 1953, in Frostburg, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Oliver and Hazel Joanne (Burnette) Downton. She was preceded in death by her husband, JohnW. Swauger, Sr., and one brother, Robert Downton.</p><p><br></p><p>Beth was a long-time employee at Princess Restaurant, Frostburg. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pets. Some of her favorite pastimes were shopping and dining out and she looked forward to traveling.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by one son, Michael (Barbara) Kelly, McKeesport, PA; one daughter, Kathryn (David) Green, Cumberland; three brothers, Michael (Cindy) Downton, Grantsville, William Downton, Lakeland, FL, Steven (Rita) Bender, Grantsville; one sister-in-law, Linda Downton, Frostburg and four grandchildren, Zakery Durst, Savanna Wilson, Tyler and Taylor Green.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 6:30 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.</p><p><br></p>May 12, 1953 - February 6, 202105/12/195302/06/2021
