Sheila V. Ball

On January 25, 2021, Sheila V. Ball, 80, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by the love of her five children, and she was instantly embraced by her loving Heavenly Father. She was born in Erie, PA on June 8, 1940, the daughter of the late Stella M. (Wisniewski) Voytek and Donald Goodrich. God chose June 8 to gift the world with the most loving, kind soul that spent her life spreading her gracious love to anyone she met. As an only child, her number one goal in life was to be a wife and mother, and, yes, she is the standard of excellence. Sheila’s profession outside of homemaking was that of an artist, and her beautiful mind created poetry, music, and songs. Recognized locally for her musical accomplishments, she chose words to leave behind that encapsulate her compassionate perspective, and her friends and family will eternally live our treasured memories imprinted on our hearts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her favorite aunt, Julia Kubeja, and her husband, William E. Ball. She is survived by five children, William (Dina) Ball, Mary Zuniga, Christopher (Deborah) Ball, Julie (Frederick) Gillespie, and Beth (Alex) Padin, who will daily attempt to spread the love she exuded. She was lovingly referred to as “Grammy” by her grandchildren, Brittany (Matthew) Deer, Ian and Liam Ball, Anthony, Kristina, and Jonathan Zuniga, Amanda, Zachariah, Joshua, and Frederick Gillespie, Natali, Camryn, and Gabriela Padin, and her pride came from sharing all of their accomplishments. Her great-grandchildren Landon, Brayden, Arie, and Michael were cherished by their “Happy Grandma.” She will also be missed by her cousins and dear friends. Friends and family may pay their respects on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, located at 1595 West 38th Street at Greengarden Blvd. from 1-3 p.m. The funeral service, and burial at Trinity Cemetery, will be private. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to the Mercy Center for Women at www.mcwerie.org. Condolences may be sent at www.bruggerfuneralhomes.com.
