<p>Ball, Rita Delores Passed away peacefully surrounded with love by her family at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood, on Saturday, August 15th, 2020, at the age of 78. Rita, was predeceased by her husband, William, who celebrated 57 years of married life together. She was the beloved daughter of Armand Roy and Jeanne Gilbert. Loving mother of Bill, Vicki and her husband Steve Cruickshank and Dan and his wife Kelly. Loving Grandma of Emily, Sam, Megan, Jamie, Shawna, Erin and Cameron. Dear sister to Denise Jameson, and her predeceased brothers, Jean, Gilbert, Andre and Dennis. Fondly remembered by the Pepper and Wood families, family and friends. Rita worked as a hair dresser for many years. In later years, her husband Bill enjoyed working in the long-haul transportation industry, where Rita would travel with him and together, they travelled throughout Canada and the U.S.. During retirement, Rita poured her time, talent and passion into Cross Stitching on a daily basis. She created numerous meaningful pieces of work which she shared with her family as tokens of her love. A private family service will be held at Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. Interment will be held at a later date at the Chalk River Cemetery. Remembrances made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be appreciated by the family.
