Mrs. Lillie Boone Heath, age 85, passed away Monday evening, November 2, 2020. A native of Greene County, she was born December 5, 1934, the daughter of Donnie and Susie Edwards Boone. Lillie graduated from the Snow Hill High School and worked briefly with E.I. DuPont before joining the staff of the Greene County Department of Social Services where she served as a Social Worker until her retirement. A lady of strong faith, she was a long time member of Mt. Calvary FWB Church in Hookerton where she faithfully attended until her health began to decline. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Heath in 1994, and siblings, Lola Boone Ferguson, Alvania Boone, and Randall Boone. Her surviving family includes her children, Robin Heath Owens and husband Jeff of Moldova; Bobby Gene Heath, Jr. and wife, Freida of Walstonburg; a granddaughter, Paulina Owens of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Mary Boone Bridges of Forest City, Annie Boone Stroud of Snow Hill, and brothers, Richard Boone of Thomasville and Louis Boone of Trinity. Funeral services will be held graveside 1 PM Friday, November 6th, at the Snow Hill Cemetery with Pastor Frank Rice officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the grave side. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Mt. Calvary FWB Church, PO Box 250, Hookerton, NC 28538.
