William F. Sharp, age 88, died on July 27, 2020.  Born in Pitman and raised in Clayton, NJ, Bill graduated from Clayton High School in 1950.  He served with the US Navy Seabees from 1951-1955, during the Korean War.  After the war, Bill attended Bucknell University.   He worked in banking all his life and retired as Executive Vice President from United Jersey Bank, South Jersey/N.A. in 1994.  Bill was actively involved in his community.  Some of his community services included:  Chairman, Pollution Control Financing Authority of Gloucester County, Vice Chairman, Housing Authority of Gloucester County, Past Council President, Southern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Trustee, Gloucester County College Foundation, Member, New Jersey Bankers Association Federal Legislation Committee,  Member, Woodbury Chamber of Commerce and Member, Woodbury Heights Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased in 2019 by his wife of 60 years, Nancy L. (nee Simpson).  He is survived by his children William L. (Jill) Sharp, Cindy L. Sharp (Rick Godfrey), grandchildren William Robert (Jessica) Sharp, Sara Elizabeth Sharp, Alexis Lucille Godfrey, Alyana Lilliana Godfrey and siblings Jay (Dee) Sharp and Florence (Bob) Hanna. Funeral services will be private in the Budd Funeral Home, Woodbury.  Graveside services will be at 12:00pm on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Eglington Cemetery, Kings Hwy, Clarksboro, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Assn at <a href="http://www.heart.org/">www.heart.org</a> or Woodbury Heights Presbyterian Church, 335 Elm  Ave. Woodbury Heights, NJ 08097.  Memories may be shared at <a href="http://www.buddfuneralhome.com/">www.buddfuneralhome.com</a>.
