<p>Betty A. Brizendine, 72, of Botetourt County, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Brizendine; her parents, Lawrence and Mary Rucker; one brother, Bobby Rucker and is survived by one son, Michael Brizendine and his wife, Cindy; two daughters, Beth Diggs and her husband David, Candi Barrett and her husband, Gene; seven grandchildren, Zachary Overstreet, Britney Booth, Amanda Dunn and her husband, Scott, Megan Diggs, Dwayne Shifflett and wife, Merletta, Courtney Riggs and her husband, McKenzie, Marlys Romine and husband, Brian; great grandchildren, Addy Dunn, Isaac Shifflett, Sammy Shifflett, Sadie Shifflett, Maggie Shifflett, Natalya Overstreet, Athena Overstreet, Amelia Overstreet, Ariana Romine, Sutton Romine, two special great grandchildren, Liam Dunn, Conner Riggs; three sisters, Linda Divers and her husband, Tommy, Teresa Hosey and her husband, Paul, Dot Collins and her husband, Robert; sister-in-law, Juanita Spence and her husband, Butch; one brother-in-law, Warren Brizendine; special aunt, Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Oakey’s East Chapel with Pastor Elmer Clemons officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.</p>April 15, 201904/15/2019
