<p>Edward M. Michael, 80, of rural Walker, Iowa died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. </p><p><br></p><p>Ed was born on September 1, 1934 in Urbana, Iowa the son of Peter and Elizabeth (Reuter) Michael. He attended the Urbana High School, and then farmed with his parents. On April 10, 1956 he married Anna Mae Berry in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Walker, Iowa, and the couple farmed near Walker. </p><p><br></p><p>Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, going to movies and attending the Old Thrashers Union and going to the State Fairs. </p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife Anna Mae, three children; Brenda (Randy) Lockwood, Cedar Rapids, IA, Mark (Michele) Michael and Dan (Linda) Michael all of Walker, Iowa. Nine Grandchildren, and five brothers; Bernard Michael of Nebraska, Raymond Michael, Walker, IA, Harold Michael, Mt. Auburn, IA, Jerald Michael, Vinton, IA, and Anthony Michael, Walker, IA. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Kevin Michael, two sisters; Theresa Oberreuter, and Virginia Tholman, and a brother; Joe Michael. </p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Urbana, Iowa with Rev. Ardel Barta officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Urbana. Friends may call from 3 to 7 PM Sunday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence and from 9 AM till services Monday at the church. </p><p><br></p>September 1, 1934 - June 4, 201509/01/193406/04/2015
