<p>John E. Howell, 69, of Hazleton, Iowa died Thursday morning, November 28, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa</p><p><br></p><p>John was born on November 19, 1944, in Meadville, Pennsylvania the son of Grover C. and Mary Alice (Clark) Howell. He was raised in the Meadville, PA area and later moved to Lisbon, Iowa living in the area until moving to the Independence/Hazleton, Iowa area in 1997. John was employed as a Communication Engineer, with the CCE Company in Cedar Rapids, IA, prior to his retirement. </p><p><br></p><p>On August 29, 1988 John and the former Linda L. Goldsworth were united in Marriage in Memphis, MO. </p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife Linda of Hazleton, IA, six children; Randy (Chris) Howell, Lisbon, IA. Kim (Marty) Williams, Mt. Vernon, IA, Connie (Will) Sproston, Lisbon, IA, Sherri Santiago, Cedar Rapids, IA, Michelle Jorgenson, Lisbon, IA, Stephanie (Doug) Kamberling, Lisbon, IA, three step-children; Tom (Jenny) Morris, Independence, IA, Tammy (Greg) Miller, Coggon, IA, and Brian (Dianna) Morris, Rowley, IA, Twenty Five Grandchildren; Fourteen Great Grandchildren, two sisters; Penny Rodgers, Chambridge Springs, PA, And Donna Boyles, in Texas, and two brothers; Mark Howell, and Terry Howell both in Meadville, PA. </p><p><br></p><p>The family will commemorate John’s life with a reception from 4 to 7 PM Wednesday, December 4th at the Rowley Community Center in Rowley, Iowa. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the John E. Howell Memorial Fund % Veridian Credit Union, 1900 3rd Ave SE; Independence, IA.
