<p>Tatone, Fernando (August 31, 1922 – February 23, 2009) – Peacefully in his 87th year surrounded by his loving family who will treasure the wonderful memories they shared with him and appreciate the sacrifices he made for them. A welder by trade, emigrated from Italy to Manitoba and later settled in Toronto. He worked as a millwright at Canada Packers for 25 years and enjoyed his retirement dedicated to his family, his passion for growing winning tomatoes in his garden and his love of good food. Predeceased by his wife Desta of 49 years, survived by his daughter Lisa and husband Bruno, son Joe and his wife Bonnie and his two granddaughters Stephanie and Jennifer. He doted on his great grandson and sparring partner Dorian who will also miss his bis-nonno very much. Friends may visit at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME 10366 Yonge St., Richmond Hill (4th traffic light north of Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Thursday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will held on Friday, February 27th at 10:30 am in the Marshall Funeral Home chapel.
