Mrs. Vinay Beatrice Hegge
<p>It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Vinay B. Hegge, age 94 years, at Lakehead Manor on Saturday, January 5, 2013.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Copper Cliff, Ontario in 1918, Mom's greatest love were her family, especially her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her face would light up when the little ones came through the door. She loved to bake and knit until recently, when poor health took over.</p><p><br></p><p>Mom lived most of her life in Geraldton raising her children and working at Geraldton Bakery and the School for the Handicapped. She was a member of the Royal Purple, Royal Canadian Legion and Faith Lutheran Church. She moved to Thunder Bay 35 years ago and resided on Oliver Road.</p><p><br></p><p>Vinay is survived by her daughters Joyce Birch of Peterborough, Carole Foster and Margaret Koski of Thunder Bay and Robin Rodak (Stash) of Geraldton; sons Ted (Rosemary) of Kanata and Bob (Candace) of Kincardine; daughter-in-law Leslee Hegge of Thunder Bay as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Bernice (Paul) Atherton of Cloyne, brother Ron (Leota) Phillips of Hamilton and brother Fred (Pat) Phillips of Brooklin.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband Tom, son Edward, daughter Cindy Audziss, son-in-law Gilbert Foster, grandson David Foster, son-in-law Reg Koski, son-in-law Alec Birch and her parents Allan and Lena Phillips.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Vinay B. Hegge will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10:30AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma officiated by Rev. Arleen Berg. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Vinay to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Cardiac Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.</p><p><br></p><p>Good bye my family</p><p>my life has passed.</p><p>I loved you all</p><p>to the very last.</p><p>Weep not for,</p><p>but courage take.</p><p>Love each other,</p><p>for my sake.</p><p>For those you love</p><p>don’t go away,</p><p>they walk beside you</p><p>every day</p><p><br></p>September 26, 1918 - January 5, 201309/26/191801/05/2013
