<p>Charles Hilberg, 75, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, June 18th with his loving wife and children by his side.</p><p><br></p><p> Born in Chicago, on January 27, 1942; he was the son of the late Charles Milton and Maryann Marie (Tris) Hilberg. He grew up in Chicago and was a graduate of Cooley High, long before the movie.</p><p><br></p><p> He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army. </p><p><br></p><p> On June 9, 1979, he married Jeannette M. Spacone at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church in Mount Prospect, IL. They were married for 38 years, despite his best efforts.</p><p><br></p><p> Charles was a proud union member for 42 years of Chicago Electrical Local IBEW #134. He was a long-standing member of American Legion Post 21, in Kenosha, and he was a past commander of that post. He loved to fish and would have loved it more if he caught them. Charles also loved wood working and trains. Most of all, Charles loved his children and grandchildren so very much. He will be missed.</p><p><br></p><p> He is survived by his wife, Jeannette of Kenosha; two children, Justin Charles (Dominique nee Lowery) Hilberg and Shannon Marie (Thomas Merritt) Hilberg; six grandchildren, Lynae, Jeanelle, Jasper, Brooklyn, Serenity and Dulcey; one sister, Carolyn Koneck; two nephews, Keefe Ford and Gabriel Marlow; and one niece, Mika (Michael) Bielak.</p><p><br></p><p> Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 22nd at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove at 12:00p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.</p><p><br></p><p>Proko Funeral Home &amp; Crematory</p><p>5111 60th St. 262 654 3533</p><p>Visit &amp; Sign Charles’ Online Memorial Book At:</p><p>www.prokofuneralhome.com</p>
