Russell Adolf Ancevic
<p>Russell A. Ancevic, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Hospitality Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.</p><p> Born in Kenosha on April 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Louis and Lorraine (Warren) Ancevic. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Russell served in the United States Coast Guard from February 9, 1949, until his honorable discharge on July 8, 1952.</p><p> On August 30, 1952, he married Barbara G. Johnson at St. James Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on October 28, 2015.</p><p> Russell was employed as a transportation manager with American Motors/Chrysler until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Kenosha Yacht Club. He enjoyed sailing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.</p><p> Survivors include his five children, Robin (Dale) Pelt of Kenosha, Susan (Richard) Lewis of Gurnee, IL, David (Kari) Ancevic of Brookfield, WI, Phyllis LaHaye of Racine and Ronald (Cara) Ancevic of Tega Cay, SC; his daughter-in-law, Cathy Ancevic of Kenosha; a brother, Milton (Carol) Ancevic of Delevan; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Julie) Pelt, Erik Pelt, Dennis Ancevic, James Ancevic, Christine (Ryan) Rebmann, Daniel LaHaye, William Ancevic, Alec Ancevic and Julia Ancevic; and two great-grandchildren, Christian Pelt and Ava Pelt.</p><p> He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Ancevic; a sister, Jean Roberts; and a brother, Donald Ancevic.</p><p> Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 14th, at the Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery with full military honors.</p><p>Proko Funeral Home & Crematory</p><p>5111-60th Street</p><p>Kenosha, WI 53144</p><p>Phone: (262) 654-3533</p><p>Visit Russell's Online Memorial Book at:</p><p>www.prokofuneralhome.com</p>April 15, 1930 - July 10, 201604/15/193007/10/2016
