<p>Alfredo Cristofaro, 81, of Oakhurst, died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.</p><p>He was born in Girifalco, Calabria, Italy and came to this country in 1971 living in Long Branch before moving to Oakhurst 40 years ago.</p><p>He was a member of the Figli di Colombo and the Amerigo Vespucci, both in Long Branch.</p><p>Alfredo was a cabinet and furniture maker by trade. Later, he worked for the NJ Department of Transportation before retiring.</p><p>He was predeceased by his parents, Colombo and Giovanna Cristofaro and a brother and sister-in-law, Antonio and Barbara Cristofaro.</p><p>Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Rosa; daughter, Giovanna Cristofaro and 2 grandchildren, Giovanna Rosa Cristofaro-Givens and Jonathan Latroy Givens, Jr.</p><p>Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Monday at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. Funeral Tuesday at 8:30 am from the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Entombment will be at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.
