Alicia Ann Holliman Sipe age 44 of Deerfield, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019. She is survived by her two children, Christian Robert Sipe of Chicago, IL, Gabriella Elyse Sipe of Deerfield Il; ex-husband of 18 years Brad Sipe of Deerfield IL; significant other, Shawn Casperson of Deerfield, IL, her parents, Cephus Robert Holliman Jr. of Fairhope, AL and Carole Ann Willis Holliman of Savannah, GA; uncle James M. Willis, Sr. of Augusta, GA; cousins Tommy Stuart of Livingston, AL; Amy Duke of Thomasville, AL; Amanda Stuart of Livingston, AL; James M. Willis, Jr. of Hawkinsville, GA; and Matthew A. Willis of Augusta GA. Alicia was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cephus Robert and Hattie Mary Boyd Holliman, Dewey D. and Jewell I Willis; and aunt, Linda Holliman Stuart. She will be greatly missed. Alicia was born in Atlanta, GA on November 18th, 1975 and was at peace with the lord on Dec, 17th 2019 at her home in Deerfield, IL. She grew up in Atlanta, GA , Birmingham, AL & Overland Park, KS. In her youth, much like her later years she gave back to others by volunteering at the Humane Society. It was also at this time she had her son, Christian. She attended the University of Kansas where she furthered her creative passions for writing poetry and pursued a degree in journalism, volunteering as a DJ for KJHK and joined a sorority where she found acceptance and a group of friends for life with Delta Delta Delta. With a smile that could light up a room and a vivacious personality her lust for life and compassion for others wouldn’t stop there. After graduating the University of Kansas with a BA in Journalism she dreamed of traveling the world in search of the next best story. As fate would have it her pursuits would take her more locally toward Kansas City where she found a job in marketing with NKH&W and by chance she discovered the first love of her life – Brad Sipe. Shortly after she picked up a job in Chicago with Marketing connections where she found a bit of stability and then moved onto another company DSL Global Event Marketing where she worked on infamous campaigns such as Nintendo. After being married a few years, the couple had a healthy, loud daughter, Gabriella, and she found gainful employment as the marketing director of Valley Lo Country Club. Her real success fully blossomed when she worked her way to the top as a GM of TCA Holdings smashing previously held sales records and successfully achieving what others could not do. Alicia was a tour de force to be reckoned with in her career. As a mother she did the best to support her family. Husband Brad, son, Christian and daughter Gabi each had their own successes and Alicia was there to support them as their dutiful mother and wife. Whether it be post-it notes in lunch boxes, soccer games to cheer on her goalie, or discussing how best to help the kids with Brad – she did it all, mostly with that award-winning smile and fabulous blonde hair her friends were so envious of. The years continued and Alicia’s health issues began to grow in number, from the recovery of her knee surgeries to later issues with her hips she found true struggles in life, but she wasn’t one to give up and that smile of hers was something to behold. After her marriage with Brad ended in 2015, Alicia was able to rekindle companionship with Shawn Casperson and found a true caring and giving personality. The true nature of Alicia was her good heart, ability to smile through it all and the family and friends that never refused to give up on her given the challenges she faced later in life. Alicia was blessed by being surrounded by people that cared about her and did their best to support her through the strife of life. She will be missed by friends, family and business competitors.
