Gloria D. Kuhta

Gloria D. Kuhta, 71, DuBois, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Ridgeview Elder Care. Born January 10, 1944, in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Peggy E. (Dixon) Thompson. Gloria was the owner of Peaches and Cream Creative Designs in the Regency Mall in Indiana, PA. She enjoyed attending craft shows and flower arranging. Gloria was a member of the VFW in DuBois. She was Protestant by faith. Gloria is survived by two children, Anita Bacon of Wichita, Kansas and T. Frank Bacon of Elderton, PA; four grandchildren, Alex and Sydney Bacon, Vance Kuhta, and Amber Ducharme; a brother, Beeman Thompson of Belvedere, South Carolina; a niece, Terry Kelley; and a nephew, Steve Thompson. She is also survived by her life companion, Kenneth Reese, whom she had made her home with for the last nine years. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. Family and friends will be received Sunday, December 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 14th at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel with LaMarr Adamson C.L.P. officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
