David Dewey Wilson

David Dewey Wilson, 58, died at his rural Graham County home, December 12, 2019. He was born in Eads, Colorado, May 11, 1961, to Burl Dewey and Daisy Ann (Teter) Wilson. While in grade school the family moved to Graham County, where he attended school and graduated from Morland High School. On June 8, 1980, he married Evy Nichols in Cedar Ridge, Colorado. To this union were born four children: David Jr., Burl, Jessie and Bonnie. He worked many jobs during his life, including: the Hill City Elevator, Riverside Feeders, and farming. In 2005, he was a trucker in Wyoming. David was a simple man. He liked his food simple, just meat and potatoes. He always enjoyed being with friends and family. David was not one to expect others to help him even though he was always willing to help others when asked. Hard work was a big part of his life, working hard as long as his body would let him. David was preceded in death by his parents: Burl and Daisy; daughters: Jessie and Bonnie; and brother-in-law, Rick Goddard. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Evy; sons: David Jr. “D.J.”, wife Veronica, Hill City and Burl, Norfolk, Virginia; sisters: Micci Wilson, Kansas City, Missouri, Nola, husband Dave Callan, Hoisington and Jackie Wilson Goddard, Salina; grandchildren: Shelby, Dustin and Nicholas.
