Marion Lamar Campbell - Born May 21, 1956 in Selma, Alabama. Died December 11, 2019 in Birmingham, Alabama. Marion was retired from Norfolk/Southern Railroad after 37 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hiking and doing trail maintenance. In 2017, Marion hiked the entire 2200 miles of Appalachian Trail. He was a Christian with a generous heart and a wicked sense of humor. Marion attended Newsite Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Emily. Brothers Russell Campbell (Joyce); Brian Campbell (Dru); Tommy Campbell (Becky); an aunt Bertha Wyatt; uncles Sam Ezell and Andy Plummer; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday December 14, 2019. Visitation 12:00- 2:00 with a funeral service following at 2:00. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
