Lenzlea F. “Chunky” Mosby, III, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2019 at Cumberland Healthcare Center in Cumberland, MD. Chunky was born July 15, 1956 in Martinsburg, WV and graduated in 1974 from South Hagerstown High School. He was extremely intelligent and attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio on a full academic scholarship. He also attended Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD. He enjoyed trivia games, Chess and reading encyclopedias. His favorite band was Earth, Wind and Fire and his favorite football team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He worked as a supervisor in a group home. He is survived by his parents, Lenzlea F. Mosby, Jr. and Carrie A. Mosby of Hagerstown; two sisters, Costello L. Forney of Harrisonburg, VA and Dawn R. Baltimore, and her husband, Ronald, of Hagerstown, MD; his niece Blair Baltimore of Greenbelt, MD; two sons, Jacqmel Keyes, and his wife, Jeanne Carroll Keyes and Aubrey Keyes, both of Hagerstown, MD; 6 grandchildren, Journey Carroll, Heaven Carroll, Jamel Keyes, Kyrie Keyes and Alana Keyes, an uncle George Grantham and his wife, Marcina, of Martinsburg, WV, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends and others whose lives Chunky touched are invited to Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD 21740 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 to reminisce, grieve, support each other, and chat. The funeral service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 155 Jonathan St., at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Viewing on Saturday one hour prior to the start of the funeral. Chunky will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
