Sarah Florene Perkins Law, 96, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Hillsboro. Sarah was born on January 4, 1923 in Woodbury to Robert and Martha Allen Perkins. Considered by her children to be the best homemaker ever, Sarah was a wonderful caregiver, seamstress, and cook. She made the best peanut patties, peach and pear cobblers, and chicken ‘n dumplings. She worked as cook in the nursing home and did laundry for folks to earn a living. Sarah is survived by her sons Freddie L. Law and wife Lisa, and Sammy Law and wife Myra; her daughter Martha Law Brooks and husband Eddie; and sister Mary Edith Reed. Known to them as “Ma Bink,” she had ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Known as a girl to her family as “Binky Sister,” she was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred S. “Snuffy” Law; sisters Doris Copeland and Lenora Butcher, brothers R. L. Perkins and R. C. Perkins. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019, from, 12:30-1:30, at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 PM.
