Analiz Cortinas

Analiz Cortinas, also known as Nana, 23, of Waxahachie passed away on December 11, 2019. Her family is deeply saddened by her loss. Analiz was born on November 30, 1996 to Genaro and Maricruz Cortinas in Mesquite, TX. Through a continuous battle for her life due to a variety of medical conditions, Analiz persevered and continued to graduate from Ferris High School in 2016. She aspired to become a nurse. Helping others like herself was her dream. She was a brilliant and unique individual. Anyone who knew Analiz, knew that she was an Angel on Earth. She touched all lives, including those of perfect strangers. She was a light in the dark to everyone that knew her. She was the strength for anyone who needed it. She was a blessing to many. Analiz is survived by her parents, Genaro and Maricruz; brother, David and sister-n-law Tatum; niece and nephew, Hadlee and Haydon; grandparents, Juan and Silvia Garcia, Genaro and Virginia Cortinas along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. As many know, Analiz’s favorite color was purple. The family requests that flowers consist of purple, pink, or white and be sent to the funeral home at 511 W. Main St, Waxahachie, TX 75165. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. in the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2 P.M. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
