Felix Vargas born August 29, 1936 to Marcos and Catalina (Paura) Vargas, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in Jacksonville. He was 83 years old. A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019 at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Jacksonville. Pastor Antonio Herrera will officiate. Mr. Vargas will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin on Thursday, December 12, 2019 and friends are cordially invited to visit with the Vargas family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his sons, Felix, Jose Angel and Enrique Vargas. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Isabel Vargas; and children, Lucia Vargas, Marcos Vargas, Clara Vargas, Lourdes Vargas, Martha Vargas, Julio Vargas, Alfredo Vargas, Felix Vargas and Rocio Vargas. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and a great friend to many. Family will serve as pallbearers.
