Naomi "Jo" Call

Naomi “Jo” Call, 83, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Medicalodges of Arkansas City. A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2019, at the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Reverend Stephanie Wall Brown will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service. Friends may greet the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Jo was born March 6, 1936, to George “Pete” and Laura Irene (Lenz) Brosius in Dodge City, KS. She attended schools in Dodge City and Langdon, graduating from Langdon High School in 1954. After high school Jo attended Southwestern College. On December 17, 1955, Jo married Harold Dean Call in Langdon, KS. The couple made their home in the Cedar Vale/Sedan area before settling in Arkansas City in 1964. Jo worked various jobs throughout the years. She worked for Phil Stop for many years until her retirement. After her retirement she became a foster grandparent for USD 470. Jo loved sewing, baking and decorating cakes, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jo was a longtime member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children David Call and wife Terese of Arkansas City, KS; Dale Call and Shelia of El Dorado, KS; Dennis Call and wife Mylissa of Arkansas City, KS; Darla Mann and husband Darin of Arkansas City, KS; Debbie Dunn and husband Steve of Blackwell, OK; brother Don Brosius and wife Linda of Hutchinson, KS; sister-in-laws Peggy Brosius of Coldwater, KS; Mildred Isbell of Texas; close friend Margaret Lang of Winfield, KS; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Lena Brosius, brother Ron Brosius, and brother and sister-in-law Betty and Carl Klusmeyer. A memorial has been established for the St. Paul United Methodist Church or Camp Horizon. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
