ZOE EUNICE TUTTLE Zoe Eunice Tuttle, 89, a resident of the Hillsboro community, died early Wednesday morning, December 11, 2019 at the Murray Highland Memory Care in Hillsboro. Private Cremation Rites were held at the Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove. She was born Zoe Eunice Stott early on December 4, 1930 at Sycamore Memorial Hospital in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Marcus Victor Stott and Blanche Eunice (Murray) Stott of Genoa, Illinois. She always introduced herself as “Zoe, rhymes with Joe.” Among her special interests, she enjoyed crafts such as making rosary beads. Zoe was preceded in death by her parents, Marcus and Blanche Stott, recently by her ex-husband, Eugene Young Tuttle, DC, all of her siblings: Grace Elizabeth, Alfred Eugene, James Edwin, Marx Victor, Paul Eugene, Ruth Ann and Lois Carol. She was raised on a farm and received her education in Genoa, Illinois, having been a graduate of the Genoa High School Class of circa 1948. She attended St. Anthony Hospital School of Nurses, graduating in 1952 with a “Graduate Nurse” degree. Zoe worked two years in pediatric nursing before raising a family. She was united in marriage to Eugene Young Tuttle circa February 14, 1954 in Los Angeles California. They were later divorced in the mid-late 70’s. After that she returned to work in Medical Records until her retirement. She lived in Eueka, Califiornia from circa 1959 to January 2019. She moved to Oregon in January 2019. Survivors include her children Paul Tuttle, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Timothy Tuttle and Quentin Tuttle, of Spirit Lake Idaho and Eileen (Scott) Harmeling, of McKinney, Texas. Also surviving are her grandchildren Annie Busby, William Schreckengost and Bobbie Frances Lara. She is survived by great-grandchildren Evelynisold MacNeill, Rhys Everett MacNeill, Asher Schreckengost , Sampson Schreckengost, David Schreckengost, Kingston Thomas Lee Lara, with Lucy Rae Lara just about to be born.
