Ruth Virginia Engelgau, 96, of Hague, VA passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. She was the widow of Edwin Victor Engelgau, a homemaker and a member of The Association of the Deaf, Richmond and Washington, DC. She is survived by sons, Ronald Oakes Engelgau (Debra) of West Palm Beach, Fl, and Bert Pete Engelgau (Lucy) of Colonial Beach, VA; sister, Estelle Sumner of Powhatan, VA; and grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Jennifer, Megan, Zachary, Dana, and Diana and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Ann VanSkyock; grandson, Eric; brothers, Walter, James, Thomas, Mark, Arthur and Jack; and sisters, Bessie, Jane and Nancy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel, with Bert Engelgau officiating. Interment will follow at Carmel United Methodist Cemetery, Kinsale, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Welch Funeral Home, Montross, VA. Pallbearers are Ronald Engelgau, Sr., Ronald Engelgau, Jr., Zachary Engelgau, Daniel Engelgau, Ryan Engelgau, Mac Dodson, Jason Miner and Seth McCullum.
